I have heard of so many natural skin lighteners which can be easily made at home. Among these are rice, curd, milk powder, egg, oats, muscovado sugar, carrots, tomato, lemon, honey, papaya, potato, cucumber, yogurt and rose water. Of all these, I would recommend only six oats, sugar, lemon juice, cucumber, honey and potato.

Sugar, honey and oats had been known to lighten skin for a long time now. And it is proven. Lemon juice, on the other hand, when made juice and combined with cucumber juice is a good skin lightener but don’t leave it on your skin too long cause it can dry out your skin. Potatoes is said to have a bleaching agent in it. You could use its peel or the potato itself but just be careful because it may dry out your skin really bad if you use it too much. Also, you can prevent your skin from further darkening by staying away from the sun because the sun makes the maximum damage on your skin. Always apply a good sunscreen lotion with SPF20 or even higher to protect your skin from the sun’s darkening rays. Reapply it every hour if possible if you are staying directly in the sun. Use waterproof sunscreen lotion when you’re going to swimming
