Different season requires different clothing style.  There is a clothing style specifically made for the summer, winter, fall or spring.  The clothing styles for these seasons originated as response to temperature.  In clothing, there is always a relationship between style and functionality.  There is a constant change in trend for each season.  Different seasons also require different colors and different type of fabric to use.

In warm climates and in the summer, the clothe’s primary function was to protect us from the sun.  Another function is to cover the body especially the female body.  This is for modesty reasons and religious motivations.  The fabric used for summer clothing is different from that of a winter’s clothing.  Your choice of fabric determines how comfortable you are wearing them in a certain season.  Cool fabrics are for summer while warm fabric are for winter.

Clothing has also been used to express independence.  Recently, styles with rebellion against current trend has become an accepted norm.  Clothing styles should always be based on practicality and functionality.  There are no moral imperatives or laws that asks us to follow certain clothing styles for the season.  The jean is one fabric that you can wear in any season.  Jean never goes out of style.
