US Haiti Earthquake

This photo of a little third grader girl, Brooke Booth, 9 is very heart-touching, she decided to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti with a lemonade sale. Such a big heart and a bright mind for a very young girl. This little girl made a custom blend of orange lemonade and yellow lemonade and had collected an amount of $24 which her family plans to  donate to Red Cross for Haiti victims.

Help Haiti earthquake victims.

January 19, 2010 · Posted in Current Issues, Personal · Comment

We all know what happened to Haiti, the whole entire world watches it as the people from around the world help hands in giving support to Haiti earthquake victims.

By this means, aside from financially ways, which I have also done, as a website own I hope I could be of help to the victims. The people of Haiti are starving, there is no much food to eat, no shelter, no enough medicine, the place is in a total destruction, people are looting to get something to buy for.

If you think you have the ability and capability to help, give a helping hand. There are so many ways, you can donate to Haiti with UNICEF and other organizations. You can do something to help if you only want to.

Michael’s Fans killed selves

July 3, 2009 · Posted in Current Events, Current Issues, General · Comment

“Seven fans of Michael Jackson have committed suicide because the Pop star’s death. Seriously people we are all hurt and saddened to the point of speechlessness…however DON’T SELF DESTRUCT! Michael Jackson believed in world peace, and wouldn’t ever take his own life. Get it together people, lets not turn Michael’s death into a circus. Damn!! Jesse Jackson talks about coping with the death of MJ, in hopes that no one else will succumb and imitate what the other stupid seven have done.”

Basically, they were Christians who believed that they were going up to heaven to be with Michael. I thought though, that if you commit suicide that you were going to Hell? Well, I hope I’m just wrong! I don’t even remember the last time I looked at a Bible [well about that subject anyway]. I see people are grieving to the point that they are killing themselves. Is it ever that serious to commit suicide over someone you didn’t know, not even your relative, perhaps a family member. Hey!!! wake up people! I mean, Michael Jackson was awesome, his music is legendary. But is that enough to kill yourself over? I THINK NOT!

What is MACHISMO for a woman…

May 31, 2009 · Posted in Current Issues, General · Comment

Why some men do find it difficult to understand what machismo should really mean to them? Perhaps being a woman made it difficult to understand them. But do we have to understand the psychology of men before we understand them as human beings?

Machismo is the standard by which many men rate their own sense of masculinity. What makes this good thing wrong is when these men rate their masculinity inappropriately. This involves misconceptions about what the standards should be to rate a “macho” man.

One misconception about machismo is that to be “macho” is to be able to stand one’s ground. This misconception is seen in a husband continuously practicing extramarital relationship even though his wife begged to him to stop it for this might ruin their relationship. To him, to be not firm on his stands would make him less masculine. So no matter what the consequences of his actions might be, he still insists to stand his own grounds.

Another misconception has to do with a man’s strength. This is linked to his supposed ability to dominate new grounds. Some what like invading other’s territories as to conquerors. These men usually have no perception on sharing or providing for their families. These are usually seen on men having different families in different places they have gone. H usually looked at the parents of his offspring lucky if he comes back He may also provide for his family’s needs but not for the sake of provision but just to have share on what the mother provides. He equates his ability to produce more children with being “macho” but not being responsible for them.

Battle of the East and West…

May 4, 2009 · Posted in Current Issues, Sports · Comment

The whole world watched the biggest fight of the year, the Battle of the East and West. A fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao of the Philippines and Ricky “Hitman” Hatton of The Great Brittain. Everytime Manny Pacquiao had a fight seemed a fight between countries’ pride to me, his previous fights with Morales, Barrera, Dela Hoya, Marquez and the rest, my bet was solely the Pacman.

On the day of the match between Pacquiao and Hatton, that was around 3:00 in the afternoon in the Philippines, i merely see a noticeably few passenger jeepneys and other public transportation on the road. Obviously, people were busy watching the match (though we can also say that some are just sleeping and having their ciestas). And when the match was over, as i go back home after watching the match with my friends, I noticed the business of the road back to normal.

It was a good match, I enjoyed watching the it and was amazed to see how The Pacman knocked down his opponent in just two rounds, just seconds before the round was supposed to end. Too bad for Ricky Hatton, if only the bell saved him from that very powerful punch, he could have perhaps fought a little more. Heard the Royalties were so disappointed with Hatton. Some were also disappointed to know that such a big match would end that fast. A big match, a big preparation, a big wait, ended in just a flash.

H1N1, How is it transmitted?

April 23, 2009 · Posted in Current Issues, General, Health · Comment

Many people today are now scared of eating pork. Because of the news that H1N1 virus come from pigs or other pork products. The truth is eating pork or other pork products are safe just as long it is cook and prepared well, it doesn’t necessarily cause the spread of the said virus but with the direct exposure to pigs.

But the influenza virus can be transmitted from human to human or human to pig. Human infection with pig viruses can occur when people had a close contact with those infected pigs.

Human to human transmission can also occur. Just like an ordinary people having an ordinary influenza. Just by sneezing or coughing of people infected with influenza, you as a person still unaffected with influenza can suddenly get this disease, or just by touching a people infected with it.

See how easy this disease can spread to us, humans? We can’t say that we are immune or we have a strong stamina. Because diseases do not choosing people. We all don’t know when or where they can come to us, the only thing that we can do now is to be careful and have a healthy lifestyle. But the most important thing to do to avoid having disease is by washing our hand.

H1N1 a.k.a. Swine Flu

H1N1 Flu a.k.a. Swine Flu

Another specie of the famous virus nowadays is called N1H1 virus, recently, it caught the attention of the different countries around the world. Different nationalities from different countries are dying due to this extremely hot treath virus. Yesterday, the World Health Organization warned that “all of humanity is under threat”. That sounds extremely dire, indeed.

But when does this high treat specie of influenza actually came from? BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) — Overseas reports labeling China as the origin of the current swine flu outbreak were groundless, China’s Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) said Wednesday. The press reports alleged some dead pigs found in Fuqing City and Changle City in southeast China’s Fujian Province might be the source of the swine flu outbreak in Mexico, said the ministry.

Effects

People without symptoms could be stricken suddenly and within hours be too weak to walk; many died the next day. Symptoms included a blue tint to the face and coughing up blood caused by severe obstruction of the lungs. In some cases, the virus caused an uncontrollable hemorrhaging that filled the lungs, and patients drowned in their body fluids. To others, the flu caused frequent loss of bowel control and the victim would die from losing critical intestinal lining and blood loss.

H1N1, where did it really originate from?

April 12, 2009 · Posted in Current Issues, General, Health · Comment

I’ve heard and watched a lot of things from television about this so called H1N1 virus a.k.a Swine flu. But I’m still wondering of where does it really started.. where it was originated??

Some says that it all started in Mexico, when one day a Mexican got retard and high and have had sex with a pig.. What a news…But the fact is the real cause of the virus is still unknown. But the case was first discovered in the USA and some of the fatal cases were found in Mexico less than in the US.

I’m afraid that there will come a time that this virus will spread out to all countries in the world.. Because according to the U.N’s World Health Organization the H1N1 could become a Worldwide Flu Pandemic and announced a Pandemic Alert Level means the degree to which the virus has been able to spread among humans

Actually H1N1 has claimed the lives of many people in the other parts of the world . 60 deaths to be exact in Mexico, 3 deaths in US and many other death cases in different continents of the world. This has raised fears that the virus might migrate to all the countries in the world.
